JOHN TEJADA: A COMPRESSION RESIDENT RETURNS

Twenty years ago, John Tejada opened the very first Compression at King King in Hollywood alongside Detroit legend Juan Atkins. Over the following years, Tejada became so integral to Compression that he considered himself a resident of the night - helping establish Compression's reputation as one of the most respected techno events in North America.

Now, as Compression celebrates its 20th anniversary in Las Vegas, Tejada returns.

WHO IS JOHN TEJADA?

Born to professional classical musicians, John Tejada was trained on drums and piano from childhood - a foundation that's audible in every track he's ever made. Since 1994, the LA-based synth mastermind has built one of electronic music's most distinguished careers, releasing on Kompakt, his own Palette Recordings, Pokerflat, Plug Research, R&S Records, Plus 8, and many more.

His 2004 releases "Sweat On The Walls" and "Mono On Mono" remain essential techno classics - the kind of tracks that define an era. His approach is both deeply musical and relentlessly functional: intricate, melodic arrangements that work as beautifully on home stereos as they do in the hands of DJs moving packed dancefloors.

Tejada has performed at Movement Detroit, Sonar (Spain and Tokyo), Fabric London, Rex Club Paris, and even the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. Most recently, he was appointed host of his own show on LA's legendary KCRW radio - one of the most prestigious platforms in American independent music.

This is not just another DJ booking. This is an opportunity to experience one of techno's true masters in an intimate setting, on a sound system (BASSBOSS Audio) that does justice to three decades of production craft.

Robtronik (Stylus / Compression) - Compression founder and resident, one half of Stylus DJ duo, operator of Compression Radio on Live365. Robtronik curated and hosted Compression at King King in Hollywood from 2005-2012 before relaunching the series in Las Vegas in 2024.

Jeff Bomb - West Coast dance music veteran with over two decades behind the decks, cutting his teeth in legendary LA spots like Naked before becoming a fixture in Las Vegas nightlife. Former Music Director at the legendary Groove Radio in Los Angeles, Jeff has held iconic residencies at venues like Utopia, rocked poolsides at Elia Beach Club (Virgin Hotels), and currently hosts the Vegas Bomb Squad weekly radio show on Club877 (KGHD 87.7FM). His sound spans deep house, classic old-school vibes, tech-house, and beyond - always high-energy, always timeless.

Xenaa - European-born DJ, producer, and vocalist who has become a Las Vegas fixture with residencies at Marquee, Tao, XS, Zouk, and Encore Beach Club. A Beatport-charted artist known for eclectic storytelling sets that blend tech-house and peak-time techno, Xenaa commands dancefloors from sunset pools to sunrise afterhours. Fresh off rooftop sessions at Terrace Afterhours, she closes out the night with that essential underground-to-mainroom energy.
